Detection approach

Background focus anomaly at load time: document.hasFocus() is false and visibilityState is hidden upon initial telemetry beacon load. Playwright and Puppeteer in headless mode frequently run multiple pages/context in parallel, loading them in background-focused states.

How this helps detect bots

This signal is assessed with other independent session, browser, and network evidence. A single anomaly is a lead, not a verdict; corroborating anomalies make automated traffic more likely.
